Hi guys! Galyna Parker from Ecommerce Brief is here and this is my tip about Amazon product images.
Did you know that it has been proven that absolute majority of consumers are basing their purchase decision on product’s photographs? Amazon allows up to 7 images in its product listings, and its a very valuable space on products page that not every seller utilizes in full. There are normally 9 slots for images allowed for majority of Amazon sellers. One slot is for main image and 8 are for supplemental but only one Main Image and 6 Additional Images will display on the product page when potential buyer is looking at your product on Amazon. Other images will be displayed only if clicked on product’s photo gallery 1st and main image always must be a photo of a product on white background.
Other supplemental images can have other things on them. Here are few ideas of what kind of images you should consider adding:
– lifestyle images showing product in use
– comparison charts showing why yours is better that competitors
– sizing charts showing products size in comparison with most common items, like smartphone or tablet
– features chart or infographics showing off all cool things your product has
– and other things that can convince the buyer to click that Buy Now button and buy from you.
