Amazon Testing New Feature on Product Pages

Amazon has been testing out new feature on their product listings. Now instead of showing products Brand name right under the product title, there is a prefix to each name. For example, lets call our brand ABC. If ABC brand has an Amazon store, the link will be displayed before the title and will say: Visit the ABC store. And if brand did not setup their store, it will show after the product title and will say Brand: ABC. My assumption is that Amazon thinks that this could help with cross-selling of branded products. And also keep pushing towards prioritizing Brands who applied for Brand Registry program. Amazon has not yet made any official announcements about this new feature.

If you want to check it out, you can type in Nike and Adidas into Amazon.com website search bar and click on any product. You will notice how Nike will show up as “Brand: Nike” as they did not setup their store with Amazon,

and Adidas products will have Visit the Adidas store.
