Many Amazon sellers are starting to ask the same question:
“Is there life beyond Amazon?”
And the answers are showing up in seller forums everywhere. Here’s what real sellers are saying:
“Amazon has completely ruined my life.”
“Scary to think you could have a successful Amazon business, and in a blink of an eye it could be taken away from you like that.”
“We had ZERO complaints, full supply chain proof – and Amazon still suspended us for being ‘inauthentic.’”
“I tried to send in my invoices but they were rejected… now Amazon is ignoring my submissions.”
Even big sellers aren’t safe.
One business owner said:
“It is very frustrating that after dedicating 6 years of my life to growing this business on Amazon, we are being suspended without a real reason… Last year we paid over $4 million in Amazon fees, and today we can’t even get a real response. We have a warehouse and 8 employees.”
What’s Going Wrong?
Sellers are getting suspended without warning.
They’re losing income from fake reviews and mean competitors.
They say Amazon’s support team won’t help or even answer.
Some sellers feel like Amazon has become their biggest competitor by launching its own products and taking the spotlight.
Sellers also say the fees are going up.
It used to cost around 30% of each sale. Now it’s closer to 50%.
One seller said: “You pay for access to the largest online market…and the price keeps going up every year.”
It’s Not Just You
Amazon doesn’t care if you’re small or big.
They suspend both.
Even sellers who follow all the rules are getting shut down.
And when they ask for help, no one replies.
Some sellers lose their whole business.
They have to start over.
Or go get a job again.
Or spend months trying to figure out what to do next.
At least 1 out of 3 sellers say they’ve been suspended at least once.
Sellers Are Feeling Burned Out
Amazon used to feel exciting.
It was a way to earn money and work for yourself.
Now?
It feels risky.
It feels stressful.
And for many, it no longer feels worth it.
One seller said: “I gave up after 2 years.”
Another said: “I stopped selling. The stress was ridiculous.”
