Amazon has unveiled essential updates to its FBA Reimbursement service, set to roll out in the coming months.
Effective October 23, 2024, the eligibility window to file claims for reimbursement is significantly reduced. Sellers must act quickly to complete the inspection 18 months before the deadline.
The new timelines are:
- Fulfillment Center Claims: Must be submitted within 60 days of the item being reported lost or damaged.
- FBA Customer Returns Claims: Must be submitted between 60-120 days after the refund or replacement date.
- Removal Claims (Lost in Transit): Must be submitted 15-75 days from the shipment-creation date.
- Other Removal Claims: Must be submitted within 60 days of the shipment being delivered back to the seller.
Also, starting November 1st, Amazon will introduce an improved automatic refund system for lost/damaged items. However, this does not mean that sellers should not monitor missed cases.
